On 23 November 2025, Al Mustafa International University – South Africa hosted the Fatimiyyah Commemoration Program, focusing on:
“Studying the Personality of Hazrat Fatima (a.s) and the Position of Women in Contemporary Society.”
Held at 176 Springbok Rispark at 10:00 AM, the event brought together scholars, leaders, and community members for an interdisciplinary and reflective discussion on faith, history, and contemporary social roles. The program was well attended and noted for its academic and communal depth.

Ambassador Dr. Shakib Mehr
H.E. Mansour Shakib Mehr serves as the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to South Africa, representing his country and strengthening bilateral relationships in political, scientific, and cultural fields. His diplomatic engagement includes fostering cooperation in science, technology, and innovation between Iran and South Africa, reflecting his role in international relations and public diplomacy. Dr. Malusi Mncube
Dr. Malusi Mncube is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Politics and International Relations at the University of Johannesburg. His research encompasses global political economy, identity politics, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, decolonized education, and Pan-Africanism within the framework of the African Union’s Agenda 2063. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Mncube worked in corporate and development sectors, gaining experience in finance, investment, and strategic project development. malusimncube.com+1
Sr. Khadijah Lenda Sibanyoni Muzei
Sr. Khadijah Sibanyoni Muzei is a community figure and presenter who contributed significantly to the commemoration through her reflections on Islamic heritage and women’s roles in society.
